Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) Assistant Director — 2025-2026
RSU5 is seeking a dynamic Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) Assistant Director to lead the transition of early childhood FAPE services to RSU5 communities and ensure that all young children with disabilities receive the support they need to thrive. This is a leadership role with responsibilities that will evolve as the transition is completed and programming matures.
The ECSE Assistant Director will be responsible for the overall administration, supervision, and coordination of early childhood special education programs within the district. This role involves coordinating a mixed delivery system that ensures compliance with state and federal regulations, providing leadership and support to staff, and fostering positive relationships with families and community partners.

Qualifications
Master's Degree or higher with background in Special Education or equivalent
Professional Certification (ME) as Assistant Administrator of Special Education (035) and Teacher: Child with Disabilities - Birth to age 5 (282B), or be able to obtain
At least five years’ experience relevant to the position
