
Part-Time Director of Worship

The Worship Director provides spiritual, musical, and organizational leadership for the corporate worship life of the church. This role collaborates with the Senior Pastor to shape services that are gospel-centered, theologically rich, and musically engaging for congregational participation. The Worship Director oversees music and audio-visual ministries and cultivates a unified, joyful worship team culture.
COMPENSATION:
$28-33/hour, commensurate with experience QUALIFICATIONS: Vibrant Christian faith with a gospel-centered theology of worship. Minimum 2 years’ experience leading worship and volunteer teams. Ability to lead rehearsals with encouragement and clear direction to individuals. Strong vocal ability and proficiency on piano and/or guitar. Broad knowledge of church music across styles and generations. Working knowledge of sound systems and youtube livestreaming technology. SPECIFIC DUTIES + RESPONSIBILITIES: Plan worship services in collaboration with the Senior Pastor. Lead worship 2–3 Sundays per month. Train and mentor additional worship leaders to serve approximately once per month. When not leading, provide instrumental, vocal, or A/V support as needed. Lead weekly rehearsals in preparation for Sunday and special services. Ensure leadership and teams are available for seasonal services such as Christmas Eve, Good Friday, and Easter. Team Development Recruit, schedule, and develop volunteer musicians, vocalists, and A/V team members. Foster camaraderie among worship team leaders and volunteers. Coordinate with Youth Group and 345 worship teams, providing encouragement, occasional observation, and opportunities for integration into corporate worship. Administration + Technology Maintain a music database and manage service planning (Planning Center). Prepare slides and coordinate service elements (Proclaim). Oversee A/V coordination including sound, lighting,and youtube livestream. Oversee the budget and maintain equipment, instruments, and software. Assist with and recruit musicians and AV techs for weddings and funerals as needed. Oversee music-related budget and equipment
