Job Details
Position Type: Full-Time, Year-Round
Pay: $18.90 per hour
Schedule: Typical schedule is 40 hours, 5 days/per week (may include weekends, evenings, and holidays)

Responsibilities
Bake bread, pastries, pies, desserts and confections as directed by the Pastry Chef.
Ensure that recipes are followed for all baked goods meeting all quality control standards.
Ensure that portion control is maintained for baked items ensuring uniformity.
Assist pastry chef in tracking leftover baked goods and adjusting productivity as necessary.
Maintain strict adherence to ServeSafe HACCP food sanitation standards.
Complete daily side work duties in the set-up and breakdown of the bakery area.
Strive to advance baking/pastry skills by learning from the Pastry Chef.
Utilize proper rotation of perishable products using the first in, first out method.
When required, assist in the plating of desserts for use by the dining room or for special events.
Adhere to all safety, risk management and environmental policies in performing tasks.
Maintain standards of cleanliness.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum one-year baking experience or two years line cooking experience.
Ability to accurately follow pastry/baking recipes in detail.
Knowledge of ServeSafe HACCP food sanitation standards and the ability to understand and follow standards.
Possess physical ability to perform tasks, including long periods of standing, lifting and bending.
Must be available for evening shifts, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Requirements Constantly: Stand, walk, handle, reach outward, bend, lift/carry up to 20lbs, push/pull up to 25lbs.
Frequently: Reach above the shoulder, squat/kneel, lift/carry up to 50lbs, push/pull up to 40lbs.
Occasionally: Sit, climb, crawl, lift/carry up to 100lbs, push/pull up to 100lbs.
