River Valley is hiring a Marine Buyer & Consignment Specialist to work directly with private boat owners and fellow boating enthusiasts. You’ll source, evaluate, consign, and sell used boats while building strong relationships in the boating community.

This is not an entry-level role and not a desk job. It’s built for someone with real marine experience who wants to turn that knowledge into income.

Marine technicians, service advisors, and boat sales professionals are strongly encouraged to apply.

Compensation Base Salary + Commission (Stable income with strong upside)

Typical Earnings: $75,000–$95,000 annually

Top Performers: $100,000+ possible

Your income is driven by:

Quality of inventory you acquire

Deal structure and negotiation

Inventory turn and gross profit

Schedule

Monday–Friday: 8:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Saturday: 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. (rotating)

Weekday off when working Saturday

Flexibility required during peak selling times

What You’ll Do

Source and acquire quality used boats from private sellers

Build and manage a profitable consignment inventory

Evaluate boat condition, value, and market pricing

Negotiate with sellers and buyers

Sell boats through Facebook Marketplace and Messenger

Assist with boat sales during events and on the showroom floor

Manage titles, contracts, and paperwork accurately

Maintain a clean, professional lot and showroom

Follow dealership processes and sales standards

What We’re Looking For (Non-Negotiable)

Strong working knowledge of boats (models, condition, values)

Comfortable working independently with performance expectations

Confident working face-to-face with customers

Strong negotiation skills

Experience using Facebook Marketplace and Messenger

Detail-oriented with paperwork and contracts

Self-motivated, reliable, and results-driven

Preferred Backgrounds

Marine Technician

Service Advisor

Boat Sales or Used Boat Manager

Marine or Powersports Dealership Experience

Experience with Lightspeed / Lightspeed EVO, DP360, or Excel is a plus
