
Entertainment & Travel Sales Manager

Job Description The Entertainment & Travel Sales Manager is responsible for total account management across key revenue-driving segments, including Entertainment (Group & Transient), Business Transient (BT), and Luxury Leisure Transient (Consortia & Preferred Programs).
This hybrid role will develop and execute strategic sales initiatives to drive top-line revenue, market share growth, and long-term client relationships within one of the most competitive and dynamic markets in the country. This role is well suited for an individual seeking to further develop a comprehensive hotel sales skill set while demonstrating strong ambition for continued professional growth.
Primary Duties
Manage and grow a portfolio of entertainment industry accounts, including studios, production companies, agencies, and talent management firms
Drive both group and transient revenue, ensuring strong account penetration and year-round production business
Develop and maintain relationships with key decision-makers across entertainment accounts
Proactively source and convert production-related opportunities, including long-term stays and project-based business
Business Transient (BT) Sales
Identify, solicit, and manage corporate negotiated accounts across key industries
Develop and execute account strategies to increase room night production and ADR
Conduct regular sales calls, presentations, and client engagements to maintain strong account relationships
Monitor production trends and adjust strategies to maximize performance
Luxury Leisure / Consortia Sales
Manage relationships with luxury travel advisors and consortia partners (e.g., Signature Travel Network)
Drive production through preferred partner programs (e.g., AMEX The Hotel Collection) and high-value leisure channels
Conduct sales calls, networking events, and familiarization trips to grow market share within the luxury segment
Ensure alignment with brand initiatives and luxury positioning
Total Account Management
Oversee full lifecycle of accounts from prospecting → lead generation → conversion → retention
Develop strategic account plans with measurable KPIs and revenue targets
Ensure seamless communication and execution of client expectations
Prospecting & Business Development
Proactively generate new business through: Prospecting calls and outreach, Networking and industry events/tradeshows, and Market intelligence and research
Maintain a strong pipeline of qualified leads across all segments
Track and report on prospecting activity and conversion metrics
Qualifications
Minimum 4+ years of progressive hotel sales experience, preferably within a luxury or lifestyle property
Demonstrated experience managing:
Entertainment accounts (group and/or transient)
Business Transient (BT) accounts
Luxury leisure / consortia relationships
Proven track record of:
Driving revenue growth
Generating new business through prospecting
Converting leads into signed contracts
Established network within the Los Angeles market strongly preferred
Experience with total account management across multiple segments is highly desirable
Prior experience in a senior sales role preferred
Technical skills/web-based tools & applications: Delphi, Microsoft Office, Cvent (for Group and BT RFP management), Tour Connection, MeetingBroker, and ProposalPath.
