Job Description
Telecon Inc., a leading provider of telecommunications network infrastructure services, is seeking an energetic, career‑minded individual for the position of HFC/Fiber Network Designer. This remote role will work a second shift (for example 4 pm–12 am).
Location Salt Lake City, Utah
Responsibilities
Develop and modify HFC and fiber network designs using Bentley MicroStation.
Interpret and apply construction documents, engineering standards, and client specifications.
Prepare design packages, drawings, and supporting documentation for construction teams.
Utilize Microsoft Excel to track, analyze, and report on project data.
Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and field teams to ensure constructability and compliance.
Review and verify design accuracy, making adjustments as needed.
Qualifications and Skills
1+ years of proven experience with Bentley MicroStation.
Hands‑on experience in HFC and fiber network design.
Strong knowledge of construction drawings and documentation.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data management and reporting.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects with attention to detail.
Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.
Willingness to work a second shift.
Previous telecom or utility design experience.
Familiarity with permitting processes and regional design standards.
