RVP Account Management Medical Director Location: May be located in any Elevance Health Pulse Point office locations preferably in Woodland Hills, CA, Denver, CO, Chicago, IL, Indianapolis, IN, Las Vegas, NV, Columbus, OH, Nashville, TN, Dallas, TX, Atlanta, Georgia, Boston, MA.

This role requires associates to be in-office at least 3 days per week, fostering collaboration and connectivity, while providing flexibility to support productivity and work-life balance. This approach combines structured office engagement with the autonomy of virtual work, promoting a dynamic and adaptable workplace. Alternate locations may be considered. Summary The Regional Vice President, Account Management Medical Director serves in an important externally facing role by partnering with National Account’s Sales and Account Management teams in support of our National clients. This individual is responsible for providing thought leadership to positively impact healthcare quality, outcomes, and cost for Commercial and National customers that are based in regions, and plays a key role in the sales process to enhance the company's presence with National accounts, driving new sales growth. Responsible for support of expanding clinical products and programs to large National Accounts and/or other business segments.

Position Responsibilities

Cultivates relationships with decision-makers and influencers within prospective customers.

Serves as a clinical thought leader and develops strategic messaging and partners with Sales RVPs, Account Executives and Account Managers for new sales.

Supports account finalist opportunities and client quarterly and annual reviews.

Ensures high-quality and efficient medical services are provided to accounts.

Serves as the voice of health policy to the clients and consults with and advises them in shaping their decisions around clinical programs and strategy.

Serves as a medical subject matter expert in one of several areas to provide counsel and advice on relevant strategies and initiatives.

May represent the company on external committees or with applicable vendors as needed.

Fosters a culture of continuous improvement and best practice sharing in support of clinical models.

Position Requirements

Requires an MD and a minimum of 10 years of progressive industry experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Current unrestricted medical license in applicable state(s) required.

Board certification is required.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences

Advanced management degree (MBA, MPH) preferred.

Willingness to travel up to 50% strongly preferred.

Experience working in an externally facing role, preferably with employer groups, ideally with prior Sales/Marketing experience strongly preferred.

Comfortable presenting & effectively articulating information to external customers.

The ideal candidate has served in an externally facing role for a health plan, for a consultant (e.g., WTW, Mercer, Aon, etc.), for a health services company or point solution that markets to employer groups, for other health care start-ups (e.g., Health IT, digital product development) that support large employer groups, or who works as the CMO for a large Fortune 1000 company, as an example of preferred experience.

For candidates working in person or remotely in the below locations, the salary* range for this specific position is 278,000. to 479,000
