Star Elevator is a San Francisco–based independent elevator service company serving commercial, multi‑family, institutional, and municipal clients across the Bay Area. We’re hiring a Senior Account Manager to own and grow a portfolio of strategic commercial and institutional accounts. This role blends client relationship management, technical understanding of vertical-transportation systems, contract negotiation, and cross‑functional coordination with operations and field teams.

You’ll be the primary client contact for large property managers, owners, and public agencies—driving renewals, identifying modernization and service opportunities, and ensuring excellent service delivery. If you’re a consultative seller with technical curiosity, strong operational instincts, and a track record managing complex accounts, we want to hear from you.

What You’ll Do – A Day in the Life:

Manage and grow a portfolio of strategic accounts (property managers, owners, hotels, universities, municipal agencies).

Serve as primary client contact and escalation point; build trusted executive relationships.

Drive contract renewals, service-program expansions, and modernization project wins.

Develop account plans, forecasts, and pipeline reporting; meet revenue and retention targets.

Coordinate with operations, dispatch, and field teams to meet SLAs, safety, and compliance requirements.

Lead RFQ/RFP responses and negotiate contract terms/pricing with support from finance/legal.

Track account performance, produce regular account reviews, and present recommendations to leadership.

What We’re Looking For – Skills to Help You Succeed:

5+ years of account management or major‑account sales experience (elevator service industries required).

Proven success managing large commercial/institutional accounts and closing technical projects or service contracts.

Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder‑management skills.

Entrepreneurial Drive: A proactive, self‑motivated approach to identify new business opportunities, and treating your portfolio as your own business to drive growth.

Organizational Management: Disciplined approach to keeping CRM systems updated and ensuring internal teams stay informed on project status and client needs.

Technical aptitude or willingness to learn elevator systems, codes (California conveyance/ADA), and modernization solutions.

Experience with CRM tools and MS Office.

Demonstrated ability to forecast, meet revenue/retention targets, and manage complex contract negotiations.

Valid driver’s license and ability to travel across Bay Area job sites.

Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
