Area Director of Sales
We are searching for a remarkable Area Director of Sales for the 84-room Fairfield Inn & Suites Moses Lake, WA & 76-room TownePlace Suites in Ellensburg, WA.
Responsibilities Developing and implementing the total sales effort of the hotel, including securing new accounts, maintaining existing accounts, and executing sales and marketing strategies to maximize profitability while maintaining customer satisfaction.
Develop and maintain relationships with key clients to produce group business, including room sales, F&B, and catering/banquet services.
Attend networking events, build relationships with local community groups, companies, trade organizations, and conferences to generate hotel sales.
Conduct site tours.
Maintain customer database.
Develop contracts and follow up with customers.
Develop and manage departmental budget, monitor sales activity and performance, ensuring sales meet or exceed the profit plan, and report variances/projections to management.
Qualifications
Experience as a Director of Sales with at least 2 years in hotel sales.
Familiarity with Marriott, Hilton, IHG, Wyndham, or Hyatt sales processes and systems.
Well organized, detail-oriented, able to work independently.
Displays initiative, perseverance, and analytical skills.
Team player, professional, and leads with integrity.
Available to meet guests, including weekends.
Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
Engaged, authentic, and prepared to prospect, sell, and maintain accounts to positively impact revenues for a best‑in‑class hotel.
Benefits Salary: $80,000-$85,000 annually.
Insurance: Medical, dental, vision, short‑term and long‑term disability, supplemental life insurance, and flexible savings account.
Retirement: After 6 months of employment, eligible to enroll in 401(k) with up to 5% company match.
Paid Time Off: Vacation time – 80 hours on first 3 years of service; Sick time – 1 hour accrued per 30 hours worked.
Paid Holidays: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day.
