The Opportunity We’re looking for a Principal Recruitment Consultant to join Piper Maddox in Los Angeles, supporting our continued growth and dominance within the CleanTech market.
Based in the heart of Santa Monica, this is an opportunity to build a market in one of the most dynamic Clean Energy hubs in the US surrounded by high-growth startups, VC-backed innovators, and global energy leaders.
This is a true 360 role, giving you full ownership across business development and delivery with the autonomy to shape your market, define your strategy, and scale a desk aligned to client demand.
You’ll leverage Piper Maddox’s established reputation across Sustainability, CleanTech, and New Fuels, while collaborating with high-performing teams across North America and Europe.
For someone ambitious, this is a platform to build, lead, and scale.
The Role – Principal Consultant (CleanTech) What you’ll do:
Operate as a full 360 consultant (BD → placement)
Build long-term partnerships across Renewables, EV, Energy Storage & Infrastructure
Leverage a strong brand while developing your own market vertical
Collaborate across offices to unlock cross-sell opportunities
Play a key role in scaling the LA office
Key Responsibilities Business Development
Open and grow new client relationships across the CleanTech ecosystem
Partner with startups through to enterprise organisations
Delivery
Manage full lifecycle recruitment for senior to C-suite roles
Deliver a high-quality, consultative candidate experience
Market Ownership
Become a specialist within your vertical
Build your personal brand through networking and content
Team Growth
Mentor future hires as the LA team scales
Contribute to a high-performance, team-first culture
Who We’re Looking For
5+ years recruitment experience (or degree + strong track record)
Proven 360 recruiter with BD strength
Experience building markets and owning client relationships
Ambitious, entrepreneurial mindset
