Contribute to the success of online student recruitment initiatives by planning, developing, and implementing recruitment strategies to attract and engage prospective online students for Ball State Online in this remote position. This will include working alongside student success specialists during the prospective student inquiry and admissions journey; partnering with the marketing team and academic program directors/chairs to analyze and monitor enrollment trends to develop impactful methods or target specific populations of prospective students; working with the marketing team to devise effective communication plans; and teaming with faculty, alumni, and current students to present the Ball State Online story to prospects. Duties and Responsibilities
Devise and implement innovative and competitive recruitment strategies to attract prospective students to academic online programs. Partner with the learner experience and marketing teams to develop and follow collaborative efforts to streamline and implement recruitment initiatives. Lead virtual information sessions with academic departments to educate prospective students about online academic programs, curriculum, admission requirements, time to complete programs, costs/financial aid options, licensing requirements, and more. Utilize social media, online forums, text, email marketing, and other digital channels to reach potential online students effectively and impactfully as well as communicate with prospective students and community through telephone, text, email, and other modes. Provide presentations to communicate Ball State University’s vision and values along with program specific content. Plan, develop, implement, and schedule virtual visits with online program specific departments across campus. Analyze recruitment and enrollment data to assess the effectiveness of recruiting strategies. Maintain solid rapport and working relationship with various administrative and academic departments to assist them to prepare for and to promote online programs at recruitment events. Serve as a liaison to academic colleges and departments regarding recruitment strategies for online students. Build relationships with alumni, and make contacts with professional organizations for opportunities to showcase Ball State’s online programs and increase inquiries and completed applications. Engage with prospective students by initiating and maintaining meaningful interactions through various online channels, providing them with accurate, professional, and relevant information and guidance. Collaborate with the marketing team and student success for developing and implementing innovative communication plans for prospective students including but not limited to email, phone calls, texts, or online chat to address their questions, concerns, and provide personalized assistance throughout the application process. Work closely with marketing, student success, academic program departments, financial aid, and other stakeholders to streamline the recruitment and application process and ensure a seamless experience for prospective students. Work with the marketing team to analyze recruitment metrics such as website traffic, conversion rates, and enrollment numbers, to evaluate the effectiveness of recruitment strategies and identify areas for improvement. Provide support to Student Success Specialists on recruiting efforts and outreach during high volume periods. Stay informed about trends and best practices in online student recruitment and higher education to continuously optimize recruitment efforts. Perform other related duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution by date of appointment. One year of relevant experience in recruitment, sales, marketing, academic admissions or registration, career, guidance, or online/distance program support. Excellent oral, written, and presentation communication skills. Demonstrable ability to initiate and implement improvements collaboratively. Strong commitment to customer service. Keen attention to detail and task completion. Exceptional organizational and analytical skills. Proficiency in using word processing, spreadsheets, databases, email, and web applications. Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree from an accredited institution by date of appointment. Direct experience assisting college-level students; additional years of related experience. Project-based workgroup and/or management experience. Proficient use of a CRM (customer relationship management) or enterprise database, preferably a student information system. What We Offer
