About The Role We are seeking an experienced Account Manager to support a mission‑driven organization operating in the healthcare and cell therapy space. This organization manages a national donor registry that connects life‑saving donors with patients in need of blood stem cell and marrow transplants. In this floating role, you will provide temporary coverage for Account Manager territories during planned and unplanned absences. You will build and maintain high‑impact partnerships with senior leaders and key decision‑makers across large, strategically important accounts. Your work will directly support donor recruitment, increase access to diverse donor populations, and strengthen long‑term community and institutional relationships.
Job Description The Account Manager is responsible for fully executing Account Manager responsibilities across assigned territories as needed. This role operates remotely and coordinates all account activities within a defined geography to support donor recruitment and engagement efforts.
Key Responsibilities
Building, strengthening, and expanding relationships with C‑suite executives, student leaders, and other influencers within large accounts
Managing and growing partnerships across higher education institutions, technical and vocational schools, network partners, corporations, service‑sector organizations (including police and fire academies), and community‑based organizations or coalitions
Developing and executing engagement strategies that create access to students, employees, and other targeted donor audiences
Delivering persuasive presentations focused on the value of donor participation and partnership
Collaborating cross‑functionally with internal and external stakeholders, leading without direct authority to align recruitment efforts
Applying marketplace intelligence and account insights to evaluate partner needs, anticipate changes, and identify new opportunities
Demonstrating working knowledge of the cell therapy and transplant landscape, including pathways and guidelines, and articulating the impact of donor participation on patient outcomes
Creating and maintaining strategic account plans and business plans that drive growth, loyalty, and increased ethnic and cultural diversity within the donor base
Monitoring performance metrics, adjusting strategies as needed, and making sound, data‑driven business decisions
20% travel
Completing additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
Minimum 3 years experience in account management, sales, partnerships, or stakeholder engagement
Experience using Salesforce CRM, MS Office Suite
Proven ability to build and manage relationships with senior leaders and decision‑makers
Strong presentation, communication, and influencing skills
Ability to work independently in a remote environment while managing multiple priorities
Strategic thinking skills with experience developing and executing account or territory plans
Comfort collaborating across teams and leading initiatives without direct authority
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with large, complex accounts across education, corporate, nonprofit, or healthcare sectors
Knowledge of healthcare, life sciences, cell therapy, transplant services, or donor‑based programs
Experience engaging diverse communities and supporting equity‑driven initiatives
Familiarity with using CRM tools and performance tracking metrics
