ThinkBAC Consulting is hiring a Sr. Renewables Asset Management Analyst for a remote position focused on energy storage projects.
The role involves managing data analytics for utility‑scale battery storage assets, supporting asset management initiatives, and optimizing performance.

The analyst will join a growing Asset Management Division focused on energy storage/battery storage asset management, O&M, energy trading strategies, and real‑time operations.
They will support commercial asset management and technical engineering optimization initiatives for innovative renewable energy battery storage assets across a nationwide utility‑scale portfolio and help pioneer the build‑out of a proprietary battery storage/energy storage management platform.

Responsibilities
Takes over day‑to‑day management of data analytics (including visual dashboards) for utility‑scale battery storage assets across ISO/RTOs nationwide to ensure projects are optimized and operate efficiently after COD.
Plays a key role in reviewing and coordinating asset‑based internal/vendor contractual agreements (PPA, O&M, Transmission Interconnection, Development Leases, Project Financing, and Entity Structures) to stay ahead of contractual terms, warranties, and project risk assessments that could impact the cost/performance over the life of the asset.
Utilizes Excel to create and analyze operational budgets in cohesion with the Accounting Team to support a review of asset performance analytics.
Monitors commercial and technical KPIs to ensure project development assets hit key milestones and ensure peak performance of operating plants is met.
Qualifications
Utility‑scale renewables experience focused on asset management, portfolio management, or operations management.
Strong background in data analytics supporting renewable energy commercial asset management initiatives is REQUIRED.
Proven track record of success in supporting data‑driven asset management including experience with portfolio financial performance optimization, O&M management, and energy management dealing with various energy platforms (renewables, solar, wind, BESS, energy storage, natural gas, O&G, hydro, etc).
Working knowledge of financial asset management – P&Ls, budgeting, energy deal structures, and cash management.
Familiarity with commercial agreements (PPA, O&M, Transmission Interconnection, Development Leases, Project Financing, and Entity Structures) is a HUGE PLUS.
Background supporting the asset‑based performance analytic functions for 3rd party O&M contractors and Service Providers.
Working knowledge of NERC, FERC, or ISO/RTO operational compliance initiatives.
