We are looking for an advanced Full-Stack Shopify Ecommerce Architect to own the end-to-end technical integration and user experience of our clients’ e‑commerce storefronts. This role requires a unique hybrid skill set: you will implement resilient back-end integrations to connect our store with enterprise systems, while simultaneously developing pixel‑perfect, highly intuitive front‑end interfaces that drive conversion. Requirements
Required Skills & Qualifications 15+ years of full‑stack e‑commerce development, with a strong portfolio showcasing both custom Shopify theme development and complex backend system integrations (Shopify Plus experience highly preferred). Strong back‑end programming experience (Node.js, Python, Ruby, or PHP) for building secure middleware and custom apps. Deep understanding of RESTful APIs, GraphQL, OAuth authentication, and webhook consumption. Experience with Git version control, Shopify CLI, and managing CI/CD deployment pipelines for theme updates. Preferred Qualifications Experience with headless commerce architectures (e.g., Shopify Hydrogen, Next.js, React). Background in conducting A/B testing and leveraging tools like Google Optimize, Optimizely, or VWO. Direct experience integrating with specific enterprise systems like NetSuite ERP. Job responsibilities
Front‑End UI/UX & Storefront Development: User Experience (UX) Optimization:
Implement e‑commerce UX best practices to reduce friction in the buyer journey, streamline checkout flows, and maximize conversion rate optimization. Interactive & Accessible Design:
Build engaging micro‑animations and intuitive site navigation while ensuring all front‑end code strictly adheres to WCAG accessibility standards and mobile‑first principles. Back‑End Architecture & API Integrations: Custom System Integrations:
Architect and deploy custom data pipelines using Shopify’s Admin and Storefront APIs (REST and GraphQL) to connect the storefront with external ERPs (NetSuite, etc.) and 3PL fulfillment software. Middleware & Webhooks:
Build and maintain secure middleware solutions and utilize webhooks to ensure real‑time, bi‑directional syncing of inventory, orders, and customer data across platforms. Custom App Development:
Develop private/custom Shopify apps to execute complex, company‑specific business logic that out‑of‑the‑box marketplace apps cannot support. Performance & Architecture:
Manage API rate limits, optimize data payloads, and ensure backend infrastructure scales securely during high‑traffic sales events. GlobalLogic estimates the starting pay range for this role to be performed in San Francisco, CA to be $160K to $170K and reflects base salary only and does not include additional performance‑linked variable compensation, benefits etc that may be applicable for the role. This pay range is provided as a good faith estimate and the amount offered may be higher or lower.
