Location:

Hybrid / Chicago-based preferred

Reports To:

Creative and Account Leadership

Overview At Everhouse, we help complex companies make their value clear.

The Designer of Motion & Interactive Systems is a hybrid role that goes beyond traditional motion design. This person combines visual design, animation, and interactive thinking to help build the systems that teach buyers—demo environments, learning modules, and web-based experiences.

You do more than animate assets. You’ll help shape how ideas are structured, visualized, and experienced across motion, web, and interactive formats.

Core Responsibilities Concept Development & Experience Design

Collaborate with creative and account teams to translate complex ideas into visual and interactive concepts, and animated stories.

Contribute to storyboarding, system mapping, and experience design—how a user moves through a demo, learning module, or narrative sequence.

Help define how ideas take shape across formats: animation, film, interactive web, demo environments, and presentations.

Design, Motion & Web Execution

Design and animate high-quality content including:

Explainer and narrative videos

Product and platform visualizations

Worldbuilding scenes and assets

Animation-driven digital ads and campaign assets

Design interactive web content and modules (in collaboration with developers or using tools like Figma/Webflow/Lottie), ensuring motion and UX work together.

Develop visual systems (typography, layout, color, iconography) that translate seamlessly from static to motion to interactive environments.

Ensure consistency and clarity across all formats—video, web, demo, and presentation.

Contribute to the design and production of demo systems—interactive environments that help buyers understand complex offerings.

Help structure and visualize learning modules and content pathways, aligning motion and design to how buyers absorb information.

Lead or support the visual design of worldbuilding environments, touchscreen demos, and web-based demo platforms.

Think beyond individual assets—designing systems that scale across the buyer journey.

Narrative & Motion Craft

Translate scripts and concepts into clear, structured visual sequences with strong pacing and flow.

Use motion to guide understanding—emphasizing hierarchy, transitions, and key moments of clarity.

Work closely with designers, editors, developers, and strategists to deliver integrated experiences.

Prepare assets for multiple outputs: video, web, interactive platforms, and presentations.

Manage multiple projects while maintaining quality and consistency.

Participate in reviews and iterate quickly based on feedback.

Qualifications

4–7 years of experience in motion design, animation, or digital design within an agency or studio environment.

Strong portfolio demonstrating design thinking, animation, and interactive work (not just motion execution).

Proficiency in After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop, Figma, and familiarity with Webflow, Lottie, or similar web animation tools.

Experience designing animation-driven ads or campaign content across digital channels.

Demonstrated ability to contribute to or lead interactive experiences, demo environments, or web-based content systems.

Strong understanding of typography, layout, composition, and visual hierarchy.

Ability to interpret scripts and translate them into structured visual experiences.

Comfort working across disciplines—creative, UX, and technical.

Nice to Have

Experience with 3D tools (Cinema 4D, Blender, etc.) for product or spatial visualization.

Familiarity with UX/UI design principles and interactive prototyping.

Exposure to B2B, technology, or complex subject matter storytelling.

Basic front-end awareness (how motion translates to web environments).

Who You Are

You don’t think in assets—you think in systems.

You’re a designer who animates, an animator who understands interaction, and a storyteller who cares about clarity. You’re as comfortable shaping a demo experience as you are building a motion sequence.

You bring structure to complexity and know how to make ideas not just look good—but make sense.

At Everhouse, You’ll Find:

A creative environment where motion, design, and interaction come together.

A team that values thinking as much as execution.

Opportunities to shape how modern B2B companies communicate and sell.
