Position Summary The LOWA Marketing Director’s primary role is to lead the North American marketing department to create, implement, and manage a unified and progressive marketing strategy while contributing to the ongoing refinement of the global strategy for LOWA. The LOWA Marketing Director will collaborate closely with LOWA’s head of marketing to ensure that the brand’s marketing initiatives coordinate to deliver a consistently positive brand message.

Success in this role will be demonstrated through a keen sense of curiosity, creative energy, and organization, with the ability to be flexible and adaptable in our dynamic environment. This role requires the incumbent to be a highly collaborative team-player who is decisive, approachable, and can lead their team with confidence and humility.

Key Responsibilities Marketing Strategy

Develop and execute the long-term marketing strategy, as well as seasonal marketing plan

Work with global LOWA team to influence and speak up for US market interests

Define and optimize marketing mix

Maintain a professional, welcoming environment that reflects LOWA’s brand

Leading the team

AI Capability

Utilize AI tools for campaign development and content creation

Consumer and market analysis capabilities

Proficiency in interpreting complex data to provide actionable insights for making data-driven marketing decisions.

Marketing Proficiency

Brand and Product marketing (Brand positioning and awareness)

Consumer segmentation and targeted demand creation

Digital and performance marketing (SEO/SEM, CRM, Social)

Influencer and Partnership marketing

Trade and retailer partnered marketing

Create, track and deliver against assigned marketing working budget

Market research and consumer insights

Competitive analysis and market positioning expertiseProject management and operational discipline

Develop creative briefing, content creation, asset management, consumer ecommerce, and trade/retail marketing.

Enforcing global brand guidelines consistently across marketing mix

Budget and Financial Management

Responsible for the overall US marketing budget and the alignment of its resources with the business goals of the company.

Overseeing advertising campaigns and measuring advertising ROI

Qualifications

5+ years of direct marketing leadership experience in the outdoor industry

Bachelor’s degree in marketing or business administration

Experience creating, implementing, and managing go to market strategies

Practical knowledge and experience with e-commerce digital platforms

Visible and demonstrated leadership

High level of organization, time management, and project management skills

Clear and persuasive written and verbal communication skills

Ability to contribute to high level strategic conversations about current issues and new ideas
