We are seeking a creative and strategic
Senior Apparel Designer – Kidswear
to lead the design and development of trend-forward, commercially successful children’s apparel collections. This role is responsible for driving seasonal concepts from ideation to final production while ensuring brand consistency, quality, and innovation across all categories. Key Responsibilities
Design & Creative Direction
Lead the design and development of seasonal kidswear collections across multiple categories (knit, woven, outerwear, sets, etc.) Conduct trend research, market analysis, and competitive shopping to identify new opportunities Create original concepts, mood boards, color palettes, prints, graphics, and silhouettes Present seasonal design direction and product concepts to leadership and cross-functional partners Ensure brand consistency while evolving the aesthetic to meet market demands Product Development
Develop detailed technical sketches and comprehensive tech packs Partner with Product Development and Technical Design teams on fit, construction, fabric selection, and trims Oversee sampling process and manage revisions to meet design intent and cost targets Maintain strong knowledge of children’s safety standards and compliance requirements Mentor and support junior designers Work cross-functionally with Merchandising, Production, Sourcing, Marketing, and Sales teams Partner with overseas factories and vendors to ensure quality execution Participate in fit sessions and approvals Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or related field 5+ years of apparel design experience, with at least 3+ years focused on kidswear Strong portfolio demonstrating creativity, technical proficiency, and commercial success Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop) and PLM systems Strong understanding of fabrics, trims, garment construction, and children’s safety standards Experience working with overseas factories preferred Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills
