to join the leadership team for the highly anticipated

pre-opening of M Social Sunnyvale . This role is an exciting opportunity to help shape the

culture, people strategy, and employee experience

of the first newly built

M Social hotel in the United States . As a key member of the pre-opening leadership team, the Director of Human Resources will help build a workplace that reflects the spirit of M Social— innovative, collaborative, people-driven, and energized by human connection. Your Impact

The Director of Human Resources will serve as a

strategic partner to hotel leadership , helping cultivate a workplace culture that inspires creativity, collaboration, and excellence. This leader will oversee all aspects of human resources including

recruitment, employee relations, leadership development, and HR operations , ensuring the hotel builds a strong and engaged team ready to deliver the dynamic social experience that defines the

M Social brand . This role plays a critical part in bringing the M Social philosophy to life by fostering a workplace where team members feel

empowered, supported, and inspired to create memorable guest experiences. Responsibilities

Talent Acquisition & Workforce Development Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and workforce planning to build high-performing teams. Provide coaching and guidance to hotel leaders on effective people management. Support succession planning and leadership development initiatives. Employee Relations & Compliance Provide guidance on employee relations matters, investigations, and conflict resolution. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies. Support workers’ compensation, leave administration, and unemployment processes as needed. HR Operations & Systems Support the implementation and optimization of HR systems to ensure operational efficiency and data integrity. Monitor HR metrics and workforce trends to identify risks and opportunities. Maintain employment records and ensure consistent implementation of HR policies and procedures. Training & Development Facilitate training sessions for leaders and employees on compliance, leadership development, and service standards. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s degree preferred. A minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience, especially in the hospitality industry. Required Skills

Proven track record of developing and implementing HR strategies that drive engagement and performance. Strong knowledge of labor laws, compliance regulations, and HR best practices. Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to communicate and connect with diverse audiences. Dynamic leadership presence with the ability to inspire and influence others. Robust analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a strategic mindset. Experience in managing employee relations, conflict resolution, and providing counsel to leadership teams. Proficient in human resources information systems (HRIS); experience with Paycom is a plus. Adaptable and resourceful, with a commitment to continuous improvement.
