Verovian Nursing Agency is seeking a compassionate and experienced NICU Director RN for the Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit in Austin, Texas.
Responsibilities
Lead and manage the day‑to‑day operations of the Level III NICU, ensuring high standards of patient care and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement policies and procedures that promote quality care and patient safety.
Provide clinical and administrative leadership, including staff scheduling, performance evaluations, and professional development.
Oversee the budgeting, financial management, and resource allocation for the NICU.
Facilitate effective communication among the NICU staff, patients, and their families to ensure a supportive and caring environment.
Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with regulatory standards in maintaining medical records.
Candidate requirements
Bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited institution; Master's degree in nursing or healthcare administration preferred.
An active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas.
Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience in a Level III NICU, with at least 1 year in a leadership or administrative role.
Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) by the American Heart Association (AHA).
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) by The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP).
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) by AHA.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong leadership, critical thinking, and problem‑solving abilities.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
