Austin preferred The Role Treaty Oak is seeking a Director of Procurement. In this role, you will oversee the procurement of critical commodities and services supporting utility-scale solar, wind, and battery energy storage system (BESS) projects—including modules, HV transformers, BESS, trackers, solar inverters, and related quality control and third-party audit services. Reporting to the VP, Procurement you will be involved in the entire procurement lifecycle, from identifying organizational needs, staying up to date in critical regulations, and developing sourcing strategies to support negotiations, executing contracts, and ensuring alignment with company objectives. Key Responsibilities

Procurement:

Direct and oversee the comprehensive procurement strategy for HV breakers and transformers, including managing RFQs, RFIs, offer evaluations, documentation workflows, negotiation and execution of supply agreements, contract approvals, and creation of purchase orders within accounting systems. Lead the development and execution of logistics procurement initiatives, encompassing storage and transportation solutions for utility-scale projects. Negotiate contracts, and optimize supply chain processes to support project timelines and cost objectives. Manage national and international quality control services and manufacturing inspections for solar modules, storage systems, and HV transformers. Support on the procurement of PV modules, BESS, and solar trackers, collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify sourcing opportunities, evaluate supplier capabilities, and drive continuous improvement in vendor relationships. Establish and manage all contracts related to equipment procurement through internal software platforms, ensuring robust governance of seller and buyer obligations, change order management, technical review coordination with suppliers, and invoicing control. Design and implement organization-wide procurement information systems, maintaining and updating the vendor contact list using company platforms such as SharePoint, Firmex, or other company-approved tools. Stakeholder Engagement

Collaborate closely with internal teams, including engineering, project, construction, legal, and finance, to manage the procurement activities (identify/update the needs in breakers, transformers, other services). Develop strong relationships with vendors and service providers related to the equipment you are managing. Reporting and Communication

Provide weekly reports about contractual obligations expected in the coming week and month. Provide regular project updates, status reports, and performance metrics to senior management and stakeholders. Foster transparent communication channels to keep all relevant parties informed of project progress and any deviations from the plan. Define and update quarterly a market intelligence report regarding HV Breakers and transformers (lead time, price increase, tariffs). Education And Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in procurement, logistics, or a related field. Minimum of 7 years year of experience in the procurement for technical equipment for industrial projects. Experience in renewable energy or HV electrical equipment is a must. Excellent interpersonal communication, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams. Our Values
