What You’ll Be Doing Director of Plant Operations plans, organizes, supervises, coordinates and controls the activities of the plant operations and maintenance functions which are necessary in maintaining the physical structures, HVAC, mechanical, electrical systems, utilities and grounds of this hospital in an operative and safe working condition. The Director of Plant Operations maintains performance improvement activities within the department and participates in CQI activities. The Director of Plant Operations assures competency of all personnel, assists in formulating the budget, and maintains efficient and effective department operation while requiring compliance with all JCAHO, state, federal and local regulatory laws, standards and protocols.
Requirements Education:
High School diploma or equivalent. Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school preferred. Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may substitute for education requirements.
Licenses/Certification:
Trade certification in electrical, plumbing, HVAC or similar field preferred.
Experience:
Minimum three years’ related experience in a healthcare setting with some administrative and supervisory responsibility. Considerable experience in maintenance, plant operation and construction.
