Role Description The Director of Operations (DOs) is an instrumental part of our practice management and support team. Our DOs work closely with our clinicians to ensure that they have the resources and workflow to meet the expectations of our hospital partners. DOs facilitate recruitment, credentialing, onboarding, scheduling, and payroll functions for our clinician teams. Experience in clinician services and practice support, including all areas of business logistics, practice finance, and customer service are vital skills. The Director of Operations focuses on hospital wide initiatives and works closely with hospital leadership to develop a strategic partnership and align our service lines.
ApolloMD liaison to assigned partner hospital administration.
Ensure completed schedules with facility credentialed providers.
Coordination of recruiting efforts to maintain continuity of providers optimized to 100 percent staffing levels.
Regular communication with appropriate hospital decision makers regarding operational quality metrics, expansion of services, process improvement and performance.
Solid understanding of healthcare industry quality metrics, as well as trends within healthcare.
Participates and identifies performance improvement activities to improve quality of care, promote excellent patient outcomes and provide a cost-effective environment for patient care.
Ability to identify operational efficiency and cost reduction opportunities.
Identification of operational issues, processes and systems for improved performance.
Manage a team of recruiters, credentialers and schedulers.
Leads by example and motivates all team members to perform at their highest level while mindful of engagement and job satisfaction.
Required Education and Skills
Bachelor’s degree in healthcare or related field with 2+ years of experience - or -
Recent M.B.A., M.H.A., or equivalent graduate
Eager to get into operations and gain experience
Great interpersonal and client service skills
Analytical skills
Must be willing to travel as needed within the territory
