The

Director of Quality

is responsible for leading and overseeing all quality assurance, quality control, and compliance activities across Petrosmith’s manufacturing and service operations. This role ensures that all products and processes meet or exceed customer expectations, regulatory requirements and applicable industry standards including

ASME, API, and customer specifications . The Director of Quality provides strategic direction while remaining actively engaged in day‑to‑day quality execution, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement and operational excellence throughout the organization. Essential Job Functions:

Provides accurate cost estimating services for incoming quotes regarding tanks, pressure vessels, piping, skids, controls, instrumentations and other custom‑engineered equipment. Quality Leadership & Strategy

Develop, implement, and maintain Petrosmith’s Quality Management System (QMS) across all facilities and product lines Establish quality objectives aligned with company goals, customer requirements, and regulatory standards Serve as the senior quality authority and advisor to executive leadership Manufacturing & Process Quality

Oversee quality activities for fabrication, welding, coating, assembly, and final inspection operations Ensure compliance with

ASME Code, API Monogram requirements, customer specifications, and internal procedures Partner with Operations, Engineering, and Production teams to prevent defects and drive first‑time quality Compliance, Audits & Certifications

Act as primary contact for external audits, inspections, and certifications (ASME, API, customer audits) Lead internal audits and management reviews to ensure ongoing compliance and readiness Maintain documentation, procedures and records required for regulatory and customer compliance Nonconformance & Continuous Improvement

Lead root cause analysis, corrective and preventive action (CAPA) initiatives, and systemic quality improvements Track and analyze quality metrics, nonconformances, and customer feedback Establish and oversee supplier quality requirements and evaluation processes Address supplier nonconformances and collaborate on corrective actions as needed Lead and develop the Quality team, including QC Compliance and inspection personnel Provide coaching, training and performance management to build a strong quality culture Promote cross‑functional quality awareness and accountability at all levels of the organisation Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience) 8–10+ years of progressive experience in quality leadership within

manufacturing or fabrication environments Strong working knowledge of

ASME, API, welding, fabrication, and coating processes Proven experience leading audits, managing QMS systems, and implementing corrective actions Preferred

Quality certifications such as

ASQ (CQA, CQE), Six Sigma, or ISO Lead Auditor Experience in oilfield equipment, pressure vessels, tanks, or modular systems manufacturing Hands‑on manufacturing background (worked up through fabrication or production environments) Strong leadership, communication, and cross‑functional collaboration skills Ability to balance strategic oversight with hands‑on execution Excellent problem‑solving and root cause analysis capabilities High attention to detail with a practical, operations‑focused mindset Work Environment & Physical Demands

Physical demands : While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to walk; Sit; use hands to finger, handle objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop; talk or hear. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds waist high. Work Environment : While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to ambient room temperatures, lighting and traditional office equipment as found in a typical office.The noise level in the work environment will required hearing protection when in the manufacturing shops.Frequently employee may need to engage manufacturing workers in their work environment.
