Summary And Scope Of The Position
The Director of Distribution Operations is responsible for the execution, accuracy, and performance of Prairie Island CBH Inc.'s distribution and wholesale operations. This role leads all day-to-day distribution activities, including product movement, inventory control, fulfillment, logistics, vendor coordination, and regulatory compliance, ensuring reliable and compliant product flow across the enterprise.
Primary Duties And Responsibilities
Distribution and Logistics Operations
Lead all day-to-day distribution and wholesale operations, including product movement, fulfillment, inventory accuracy, and logistics
Ensure distribution activities support retail demand, internal transfers, and future growth
Maintain disciplined inventory control, storage standards, and product handling procedures
Compliance and Risk Management
Ensure distribution operations remain compliant with Tribal, state, and federal cannabis regulations
Maintain accurate records, tracking systems, and audit readiness across all distribution activities
Coordinate with compliance leadership to address regulatory changes or inspection requirements
Minimum Qualifications
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
Excellent customer service and verbal communication skills
Excellent organizational skills
Ability to maintain strict standards of confidentiality
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong computer skills Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
5 years' experience in Excel with the ability to create pivot tables and financial analysis tools
Ability to work independently and effectively with minimal supervision
Experience managing a multi department team
Advanced math skills
Accurate data entry and record-keeping
Attention to detail and results orientated
Must successfully pass a background check
Must successfully pass a drug test for all substances non-cannabis
Preferred Qualifications
In-depth knowledge of cannabis industry regulations, supply chain management, and retail operations
Strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and build strong relationships with stakeholders
Knowledge of cannabis regulatory compliance including seed-to-sale tracking systems like METRC
Familiarity with enterprise systems including ERP, POS, and data systems to support data-driven decision-making
Analytical mindset with the ability to monitor and optimize operational performance using data and key performance indicators (KPIs)
Strategic thinker with a focus on long-term growth and scalability
Experience working in a tribal setting

The individual is occasionally required to lift up to 25 lbs
The position requires some scheduling flexibility
Must be located in Minnesota and able to work onsite daily
