
Assistant Vice President Marketing

I have the pleasure of recruiting for a growing life insurance company seeking an AVP of Marketing to serve as a strategic partner to the VP of Marketing and help drive marketing, product, and agent engagement initiatives across the organization.
This is a high-visibility leadership role in a lean, entrepreneurial environment where the right person will play a key role in marketing strategy, agent relations, product development, and operational reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Act as a
right-hand partner to the VP of Marketing , supporting strategy and execution across marketing initiatives Analyze
marketing performance, campaign results, and KPIs
and present insights to leadership Build relationships with
insurance agents, field leaders, and advisory councils
to improve communication and retention Assist with
life insurance product development and market research
in partnership with underwriting and actuarial teams Support
product launches, marketing campaigns, and distribution strategies Develop communications and presentations for
shareholders
and handle investor inquiries Partner with customer service to improve
policyholder communication and retention strategies Review
claims communications and complaint trends
to identify improvement opportunities Collaborate across
operations, compliance, legal, and finance
to ensure projects align with regulatory requirements Ideal Background
7–10+ years of experience in life insurance operations, administration, or marketing Strong understanding of
life insurance products, distribution channels, and regulatory frameworks Experience working with
independent agents, broker‑dealers, or financial advisors Ability to manage
multiple projects and cross‑functional initiatives
in a fast‑paced environment Strong analytical, reporting, and communication skills
