Iowa County Health Department is seeking a full-time administrator to lead the Public Health Department in protecting and promoting the health and well-being of our community. This is a unique opportunity to guide a rural public health department that includes a Home Health Agency dedicated to serving county residents. Reporting to the Board of Health, the Director provides overall leadership of department operations and budget, coordinating efforts to advance the county’s public health mission. This role establishes strategic direction, oversees staff and various grant programs, and uses community health data to identify priorities and implement effective solutions. Responsibilities
Lead the Public Health Department and Home Health Agency, directing operations in alignment with the county’s public health mission. Provide overall leadership of department operations and budget; oversee staff and grant programs; use community health data to identify priorities and implement effective solutions. Establish strategic direction and coordinate efforts with the Board of Health and other partners. Qualifications
Registered Nurse (BSN) with a current Iowa license and relevant leadership experience OR Master’s degree in Public Health (MPH), Health Administration (MHA), or a closely related field and relevant leadership experience Salary and Benefits
