The Robotaxi Business and Operations Development team is at the center of product design and deployment management of autonomous vehicles. From the launch of Robotaxi on MY in 2025 to the revolutionary Cybercab product coming this year, team Robotaxi is at the cutting edge of AV technology. This role is responsible for driving business growth in key markets by optimizing operations, fostering partnerships, and scaling the Robotaxi network through hands‑on engagement and strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate is a results‑oriented leader with a passion for innovation, strong business acumen, and the ability to build relationships across teams and communities, thriving in a fast‑paced environment where proactive decision‑making and market insight propel the future of sustainable transportation.
What You’ll Do
Lead execution of target market deployment strategy, bringing cross‑functional teams together executing business targets. Drive market expansion strategies, identifying and pursuing opportunities to launch Robotaxi services in new cities or regions for rapid growth.
Analyze market trends, operations performance, competitive landscapes, and rider data to drive operational improvements.
Collect on‑the‑ground data from staff and users, channeling feedback to refine vehicles, processes, and software for market fit.
Drive planning around marketing initiatives, including events, demos, and community outreach, to boost rider adoption and enhance Tesla’s brand presence in the market.
Lead business‑critical experiments to test infrastructure scalability, identifying improvements that accelerate network optimization and expansion.
Coordinate with internal teams during operational challenges or emergencies, ensuring swift responses to maintain service reliability and business continuity.
Build and nurture partnerships with local authorities, businesses, and stakeholders to integrate Robotaxi into urban ecosystems and secure supportive infrastructure.
What You’ll Bring
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
6+ years of experience in business development, product management, or operations, ideally in tech, automotive, or mobility sectors.
Understanding of and capability to manage AI agent workflows and productivity.
Proven track record in scaling new business units or launching innovative products/services.
Experience with autonomous vehicle technology, ride‑hailing, or fleet management is a strong plus.
Strong strategic thinking and ability to develop business models for emerging technologies like Robotaxi services.
Expertise in market analysis, partnerships, and regulatory navigation in the mobility or autonomous vehicle space.
Excellent leadership and cross‑functional collaboration skills to work with engineering, legal, and operations teams.
Excellent communication skills to articulate business strategies and technical concepts to stakeholders, from local partners to senior leadership.
