Purpose of Position The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) serves as a strategic advisor to leaders and a key resource for employees across assigned departments. This role leads complex employee relations matters, provides guidance on performance management and policy interpretation, and ensures consistent, compliant application of HR practices.

The HRBP partners closely with leadership to strengthen organizational effectiveness, navigate workplace challenges, and enhance the overall employee experience. In addition to this consultative work, the HRBP supports core HR processes across the employee lifecycle and collaborates with HR colleagues to implement initiatives related to engagement, talent, and performance.

Primary Responsibilities Employee Relations & Manager Support (Primary Focus)

Serve as the first point of contact for managers on employee relations and performance concerns.

Lead and manage a high volume of employee relations matters, including conflicts, complaints, and policy violations.

Conduct thorough and confidential workplace investigations, document findings, and recommend appropriate actions.

Provide clear, actionable guidance to supervisors on performance management, including coaching, corrective action, and terminations.

Partner with managers to address workplace issues through coaching, mediation, and problem-solving.

Consistency, Compliance & Risk Management

Interpret and apply HR policies and employment laws to ensure consistent and compliant outcomes.

Maintain accurate and confidential documentation related to employee relations and investigations.

Organizational Support & Transition

Support leaders and teams through organizational changes, including restructuring and process transitions.

Identify recurring employee relations themes and partner with HR leadership on solutions, training, or process improvements.

HR Operations & Collaboration

Partner with HR colleagues to support recruitment, onboarding, and employee lifecycle processes.

Contribute to training efforts for supervisors on performance management and employee relations topics.

Participate in HR projects and initiatives that improve processes and the employee experience.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and 5 years of related experience required

Knowledge of HR policies, labor laws, and compliance practices.

Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Proficiency in HRIS and Microsoft Office. Experience with Workday preferred.

Problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
