Develop and grow relationships with broker producers, drive viable new and renewal business submissions, including in-person visits, telemarketing and distribution of marketing materials
Travel of 10% may be required
Evaluate, classify, and rate each risk to determine acceptability, coverage, deductibles and pricing
Develop and submit underwriting referrals, where required, to underwriting facilities and senior RB Jones management
Review and issue policy wordings and endorsements within stipulated timeframes
Review loss control reports and take remediation action where necessary
Monitor and achieve key metrics, such as, new business hit ratio, renewal retention ratio, premium growth, and target loss ratios
Build internal team relationships by inclusive underwriting discussions
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
2+ years of property underwriting experience, E&S is preferred
Strong sales and marketing skills, business acumen and a desire in continued education and professional development
Base compensation for position ranges between $90,000 to $120,000 based on qualifications
