The Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery within the Department of Surgery at the University of Utah School of Medicine is actively recruiting for a Surgical Director of the Lung Transplant Program, dedicated Thoracic Surgeon at the rank of Associate Professor or Full Professor (either the Clinical or Tenure Track) to lead our Section of General Thoracic Surgery.
Responsibilities:
Lead the Lung Transplant Program and the Section of General Thoracic Surgery.
Perform surgeries as an Attending Surgeon at the University of Utah Hospitals and Clinics, Salt Lake Veteran's Administration Health Care System, and the Huntsman Cancer Institute.
Teach and supervise Thoracic Surgery residents.
Engage in clinical, basic, and/or translational research.
Qualifications:
Board‑Certified by the American Board of Thoracic Surgery.
Rank of Associate Professor or Full Professor (Clinical or Tenure Track).
Significant experience in thoracic surgery.
Demonstrable research record and commitment to scholarly activity.
Position available January 1, 2024.
