
Agronomy Sales Manager

Plains Grain & Agronomy Cooperative is seeking self‑motivated, organized, professional applicants to lead PGAg’s Agronomy Sales team. This role will be responsible for leading the sales function of the agronomy department, while supporting overall department performance. This role will be focused on driving profitable sales growth, developing and coaching the sales team, strengthening customer relationships and coordinating operations.
Role and Responsibilities:
Lead, develop and motivate the agronomy departments sales team to achieve individual and company sales goals.
Establish sales plans, budgets and goals that are aligned with company objectives for the sales team.
Analyze sales performance and market trends.
Participate in customer calls, field visits and agronomic planning discussions.
Manage sales budgets, gross margin targets, and expense controls.
Work closely with agronomy operations, logistics and application team.
Support inventory planning, product positioning and seasonal demand.
Ensure accurate documentation, contracts and customer records with the sales team.
Promote responsible agronomic recommendations and environmental stewardship.
Promote safety, compliance and operational efficiency.
Other duties as assigned, in other departments and locations if needed.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
5-10+ years of experience in agriculture.
Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
Excellent time and employee management with ideal customer service skills.
Valid driver’s license.
Must pass pre-employment drug test.
