
Fan Engagement Intern at Cincinnati Open

Description
Our internship will be a summer tour de force working for one of the largest and most prestigious professional tennis tournaments in the world, the Cincinnati Open. You will work closely with the Cincinnati Open Marketing team and play an integral role in delivering a world‑class experience for fans. This position supports the planning and execution of in‑tournament fan activities, including autograph sessions, live stage performances and other on‑site experiences around the grounds.

Dates July 13 – August 24, 2026
Qualifications
Strong organizational, time management and problem‑solving skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills with attention to detail
Ability to multi‑task and stay calm under pressure in a fast‑paced environment
Outgoing and personable, comfortable interacting with fans and other tournament stakeholders
Must be a self‑starter
Interest in sports and live events industry
Experience in event operations, guest services and/or sports a plus
Willingness to do whatever it takes to run the absolute best tournament possible
Responsibilities
Assist with daily operations of autograph sessions, stage scheduling and other on‑site events
Serve as an on‑site liaison between Marketing, Operations and Player Services teams to ensure accurate timing and communications of appearances and events
Engage with fans and volunteers to provide information, answer questions, promote schedule and enforce rules as needed
Help coordinate on‑stage live music performances, including assistance with scheduling, signage, credentials and more
Provide feedback on fan engagement initiatives and help identify opportunities for improvement
Other duties as assigned
General Hours Prior to August 4:
Hours are generally 9 am – 5 pm, Monday – Friday, with occasional nights and weekends depending on special events or projects.
August 4 – August 24:
Hours will vary depending upon the day and responsibilities of the position. Overtime hours should be expected the weeks prior to and are required during the Cincinnati Open (August 11‑24, 2026). Overtime hours will be determined by your supervisor.
Compensation Hourly plus OT
