Product Marketing Intern
Cornerstone OnDemand, Indianapolis, IN, United States
About the Role
We’re looking for a curious, driven Product Marketing Intern to join us this summer. This is not a ‘sit and observe’ internship—you’ll do real work that shapes how we understand our market and tell our story.
You’ll explore how companies compete, how buyers make decisions, and how messaging influences success. By the end of the summer, you’ll present your own point of view on how Cornerstone can stand out in the market.
What You’ll Do
Research industries, competitors, and market trends
Analyze how companies position their products and differentiate
Learn about key buyers (CHROs, CIOs, CLOs) and what matters to them
Contribute to messaging and positioning ideas
Build and present a final project with insights and recommendations
Connect with teams across Product, Sales, and Marketing
What You’ll Learn
How product marketing works in a real tech company
How to turn research into clear insights
How messaging drives business impact
How cross-functional teams collaborate
Who You Are
Undergraduate student (Freshman or Sophomore preferred)
Curious about business, technology, or marketing
Strong communicator and organized thinker
Comfortable working independently with guidance
Eager to learn and take initiative
What Success Looks Like
Deliver a clear competitive analysis
Demonstrate understanding of target buyers and industries
Provide thoughtful messaging recommendations
Present confidently to the team
This internship is designed to give you a real start in product marketing—where your work matters, your ideas are heard, and you leave with tangible experience.
