Director of Finance And Accounting

SystemsAccountants is partnering with a private-equity-backed holding company in the hospitality and retail space to place a Director of Accounting. This is a strategic hire - you'd be joining during a period of finance and accounting overhaul and an upcoming ERP implementation (likely NetSuite). You'll work closely with the PE firm's CEO and therefore will have excellent visibility and decision-making ability.

Responsibilities

Lead all accounting and finance functions across multiple hotel and retail entities

Partner with executive leadership to develop financial strategies, budgets, and forecasts

Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes across all entities

Ensure accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with GAAP

Monitor cash flow, working capital, and capital expenditures

Analyze revenue streams, margins, and cost drivers across business units

Serve as a key finance lead for ERP selection, design, and implementation

Translate business requirements into system configurations

Drive process standardization across accounting and operational workflows

Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external consultants

Lead data migration, testing, training, and post-go-live optimization

Ensure adoption and continuous improvement of ERP capabilities

Qualifications

Hospitality, specifically hotel, industry experience required

CPA preferred

8–12+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience

Experience managing multi-entity or multi-location businesses
