Accreditation and Survey Specialist | Accreditation-Joint Commission North | Day

Work Hours:

Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm

Overview This position is responsible for the facilitation of the accreditation continuous survey readiness plan, including support of on‑site surveys, both scheduled and unscheduled. The role collaborates with departmental leadership to respond to inquiries from accrediting entities such as The Joint Commission (TJC), Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), State of Florida Agency for Healthcare Administration (AHCA), and other specialty accrediting/certifying bodies as assigned. Tools such as online platforms are used to assist the organization to maintain survey readiness and respond to regulatory requests.

Responsibilities Support on‑site and unscheduled surveys, coordinate survey readiness activities, respond to accreditation inquiries, and manage data related to survey readiness.

Qualifications Required Education:

Bachelor’s degree

Preferred Education:

Completion of a clinical training program such as nursing, pharmacy, respiratory care, medical technologist, etc.

Required Licensure/Certifications:

N/A

Preferred Licensure/Certifications:

Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) preferred.

Required Experience:

Minimum of two years of experience in an acute care hospital setting.

Preferred Experience:

Knowledge of TJC standards, Medicare Conditions of Participation, and Florida Statutes; experience with coordination of survey and accreditation processes; knowledge of analytic techniques and metrics used in health care data analysis; experience in data analysis and reporting.

Microsoft Office proficiency (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).

Reading, analyzing, and interpreting complex documents.

Dealing with abstract and concrete concepts.

Managing web‑based databases.

Applying logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of problems.
