The Regional Director of Operations is responsible for the overall success of assigned clinical practice(s) and ambulatory surgery center(s). Provides leadership, direction, administration, and coordination of all practice and surgery center activities except those directly involving professional medical judgment.

The Regional Director Operations is responsible for staff development, orientation and performance management. This position will assist in the development and deployment of strategies to achieve sustainable, profitable growth and is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the practice(s) and surgery center.

PRINCIPLE AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Fosters a positive and successful working environment, creating partnerships with providers, team members, and patients.

Oversees and manages the operations of multiple clinics within the designated region to ensure high standards of patient care and operational efficiency.

Partners with executive leadership to develop and implement strategic plans and initiatives to enhance clinical services, patient experience, and overall operational performance.

Monitors financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting, ensuring the clinics meet or exceed revenue and profitability targets.

Leads, mentors, and develops clinic and surgery center managers and staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.

Coordinates, monitors, and improves the operations of the practice(s) and surgery center, including flow management, documentation, training, and staffing.

Partners with clinical leaders to develop clinical objectives, staffing metrics and optimize patient appointment and surgery scheduling.

Analyzes operational metrics and performance data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.

Collaborates with medical directors and clinical teams to integrate best practices and innovative solutions in patient care.

Facilitates communication and coordination between clinics, surgery centers and executive team to align regional operations with overall organizational goals.

Ensures compliance with healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and organizational policies and procedures.

Resolves patient concerns, combining customer service skills, leadership, confidence and healthcare knowledge to ensure a positive, timely and effective solution.

Partners with all other departments within the organization, revenue cycle, accounting, IT, and purchasing.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare administration or related field, required.

Minimum of seven (7) years of healthcare, or related experience and minimum of three (3) years of relevant leadership/management experience.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE PREFERRED

Ambulatory Surgery Center experience, preferred.

Direct leadership of the assigned team members
