Job Summary
Report to an Area General Manager and optimize our value stream, ensuring engineering and manufacturing excellence while optimizing the value stream for our customers.
Directly manage 3‑5 Engineering and Plant Managers, coaching and developing talent.
Ensure customer demands are met or exceeded by producing cost‑effective, operationally sound products.
Align engineering projects, initiatives, and processes with Oldcastle's operational excellence strategic objectives.
Accountable for the overall engineering and operational budget and costs, pursuing an area/regional model for using engineering resources.
Combine engineering and manufacturing functional strategies to achieve organizational objectives.
Job Location
Onsite position located in the Acworth, GA area.
Job Responsibilities
Develop strategy and long‑term improvement plans for manufacturing plants, including automation and equipment improvements.
Perform in‑depth P&L analytical work.
Manage freight and transportation logistics.
Oversee capex purchasing, installations, and payback tracking.
Lead major projects and large capex evaluations.
Apply continuous improvement methodologies.
Main KPIs For Which This Role Is Accountable
Strategic 5‑year plan by plant for automation and equipment.
Operational excellence initiatives.
Manufacturing productivity.
Control of input (materials, labor, and freight) costs.
Optimize lead times.
OPC management.
20% YOY reduction of MH/T for similar product lines.
Customer service level (OTD and fill rate).
First pass yield.
Overtime percentage.
Training programs for leads implemented.
