MXI Partners are seeking an experienced
MEP Superintendent
to join one of the most established general contractors nationwide. Our client specializes data center construction, currently leading various projects across Texas for hyperscale, colocation and government clients. Key Responsibilities:
Provide technical guidance during early project planning, including constructability reviews, scheduling support, and site logistics development. Organize and lead field operations, including team setup, temporary site needs, and daily workflow coordination. Oversee day-to-day site activities, ensuring work sequencing, safety compliance, and alignment with project timelines. Monitor project progress, communicate priorities to subcontractors, and maintain consistent productivity across all phases. Review plans and specifications to identify issues, improve constructability, and recommend practical solutions. Track materials, long-lead items, and procurement timelines to prevent delays and maintain schedule integrity. Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily reports, logs, contract documents, and record drawings. Coordinate inspections, permits, and compliance requirements while keeping thorough records for project closeout. Enforce strict safety standards, lead safety meetings, address hazards, and ensure proper training and incident reporting. Build strong relationships with stakeholders and partners, support business growth through networking, and contribute to proposals and new opportunities. Requirements:
3+ years in a Superintendent role, managing MEP and general construction scopes across mission‑critical and/or data center facilities; Strong technical competency across all Microsoft Office applications Strong experience with construction management software (i.e. Procore, Bluebeam etc.) Must be a professional self‑starter with outstanding written and spoken communication skills.
