Wayne State University is searching for an experienced Instructor/Assistant Professor – Teaching, Department of Marketing at its Detroit campus location. Teach four undergraduate or graduate marketing courses per semester (online, in person, or hybrid). Manage assessments and monitor student progress using the Learning Management System (Canvas). Maintain and update curriculum to ensure it remains current and aligned with course and program competencies. Be an actively engaged member of the Mike Ilitch School of Business community; typical teaching load is four courses in fall and winter semesters. Engage in service activities to support the school's and university's operation and mission. Qualifications

Ph.D. in Marketing or related field to be hired as an Assistant Professor – Teaching; or a minimum of a graduate degree in marketing to be hired as an Instructor – Teaching. Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and graduate marketing courses online or in person, maintaining faculty qualifications in accordance with AACSB standards, and actively participating in teaching-focused service. Preferred candidates: demonstrated digital marketing and AI expertise; familiarity with marketing applications of emerging technologies; experience in customer segmentation, predictive analytics, digital communication, personalized marketing, CRM, and marketing automation using AI tools. Deep technical expertise is not required. Management of learning activities at the college level and contribution to initiatives that support the program’s growth and mission.
