Job Title: Assistant Superintendent Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Assistant Construction Project Supervisor to lead jobsite safety, reinforce safety expectations, and support compliance across all project activities. The ideal candidate will assist in supervising project operations with safety as a top priority and support the efficient and effective execution of work to maximize production and quality. Responsibilities

Monitor project costs and assist in managing budgets to ensure work remains within approved financial targets. Review and support the project schedule to ensure milestones and completion dates are met. Assist with the coordination of work activities to maintain schedule integrity. Facilitate clear communication between Project Managers, Superintendents, and field teams. Maintain positive working relationships with owners, architects, owner representatives, subcontractors, and crews. Initiate and maintain Requests for Information (RFIs) and Changes in Contract (CICs). Organize and track product submittals and approvals. Review project plans and drawings for accuracy and constructability. Track and maintain as-built drawings. Complete material quantity takeoffs to support procurement and planning. Process and track subcontractor change orders. Develop, organize, and maintain project closeout documentation. Essential Skills

Experience in construction management and commercial construction. Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications. Strong verbal communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment. Proficiency in computer skills, including MS Project, Bluebeam, and AutoCAD. Prior experience in a construction leadership role, preferably on multifamily ground‑up projects. Additional Skills & Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required; coursework or education in Construction Management preferred. Working knowledge of Windows, MS Word, Excel, and Outlook. Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion. Physically capable of working in an active construction environment, including walking uneven terrain, climbing stairs/ladders, and lifting up to 50 lbs occasionally. Work Environment

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Portland, OR. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.67 - $57.00/hr. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
