We are growing in the Nashville, TN area and have an opportunity for a Field Superintendent Manager to join our team. Experience with Structural Restoration, Concrete, and/or Waterproofing is highly preferred. LRT works on structures in many industries from simple repairs to multi-year restorations across different technical trades. Our projects provide value‑added solutions to owners, engineers, and contractors.
Responsibilities
Safety – Facilitate a safety culture based on relationships with the team’s field workforce. Assist in safety planning and enforcement of safety rules for the team’s projects.
Quality – Assist in managing the customer’s expectations and help the Team deliver on those expectations.
Manpower – Assist in the coordination and planning process of the field workforce within the Ops Team.
Intermediate Horizon Project Planning – Plan the work for their projects and assist Foremen in planning on theirs. Help identify and remove constraints to the success of projects. The intermediate horizon ranges from approximately 2 weeks up to the project duration depending upon the project size.
Production – Responsible for planning and managing production goals on all projects or people in the realm of responsibility.
Equipment/Material Management – Sees the big picture at LRT and amongst the team’s projects. Assists in managing equipment and material coordination at the team level.
Servant Leadership – It is essential that a Field Superintendent have the mentality that success comes from making the field workforce as successful as possible. This means not being afraid to work alongside them and teaching the workforce to fish instead of fishing for them.
Training – A Field Superintendent has direct responsibility for training the team’s workforce and helping shape all members of the team into sustainable units that can tackle projects successfully.
Qualifications
5 years' experience in the field of work
Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering is highly desirable but not required. Alternate degrees or simply industry experience is sufficient depending upon the individual’s skills and work experience
