Job Summary The Senior Director of Quality is a strategic and hands‑on leader responsible for establishing, scaling, and continuously improving Morphe’s global Quality Management System. This role ensures that all products meet the highest standards of quality, safety, regulatory compliance, and performance across the entire product lifecycle—from concept and development through manufacturing, distribution, and post‑market surveillance.
The Senior Director of Quality will partner closely with Product Development, Supply Chain, Regulatory, Operations, and Commercial teams to enable speed‑to‑market while protecting the consumer and the brand.
Key Responsibilities Quality Strategy & Leadership
Develop and execute Morphe’s global quality vision and long‑term quality strategy aligned with business growth and brand values.
Build, mentor, and lead a high‑performing Quality organization across internal teams and external manufacturing partners.
Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership on quality, risk, and compliance matters.
Quality Systems & Governance
Own and continuously improve the Quality Management System (QMS), including SOPs, change control, deviation management, CAPAs, complaints, and audits.
Establish KPIs and dashboards to measure quality performance, supplier quality, and consumer impact.
Ensure readiness for regulatory inspections and third‑party audits.
Product Quality & Safety
Oversee product quality throughout development, scale‑up, and commercialization of innovation ensuring adherence to specifications and claims.
Lead quality risk assessments, stability programs, and post‑market surveillance, including consumer complaints and adverse event reporting.
Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality issues and recalls, if needed.
Own supplier qualification, onboarding, and ongoing performance management for global contract manufacturers and vendors.
Lead supplier audits and quality agreements to ensure compliance with Morphe standards and global regulations.
Partner with Supply Chain to ensure consistent quality across regions and rapid resolution of manufacturing issues.
Regulatory & Compliance Partnership
Collaborate closely with Regulatory Affairs to ensure compliance with U.S. FDA, EU, UK, Canada, and other global cosmetic regulations.
Stay ahead of evolving global quality and safety standards, proactively adapting processes as needed.
Ensure alignment between quality, regulatory, and brand claims.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
Partner with Product Development and Innovation to enable fast, compliant launches without compromising quality.
Support Commercial, Marketing, and Customer Experience teams with quality insights and issue resolution.
Represent Quality in executive forums and cross‑functional decision‑making.
Qualifications Education & Experience
15+ years of progressive quality leadership experience within cosmetics, beauty, personal care, or consumer packaged goods.
Prior experience at the director or senior director level in a high‑growth, brand‑driven environment.
Technical Expertise
Deep knowledge of cosmetic quality systems, GMPs, and global regulatory requirements.
Strong experience with contract manufacturing and global supplier networks.
Proven track record managing product quality at scale and across multiple regions.
Leadership & Skills
Strategic thinker with the ability to balance speed, innovation, and risk.
Strong executive presence with the ability to influence across functions and levels.
Data‑driven, detail‑oriented, and solutions‑focused.
Comfortable operating in a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial environment.
