About the Role The ideal candidate will act as an employee champion and a leader of change. You will plan, develop, organize, implement, direct and evaluate the organization's human resource function and performance. Responsibilities HR Leadership and Strategy
Develop and implement the HR strategy that supports the overall business goals of the company.
Partner with senior leadership to address organizational challenges, enhance performance, and foster a productive work environment.
Provide guidance and leadership to the HR team to ensure efficient and effective HR operations.
Act as a trusted advisor to the executive team on workforce planning, organizational design, and culture transformation.
Talent Acquisition and Workforce Planning
Oversee recruitment and staffing strategies to ensure the organization attracts, hires, and retains top talent.
Manage the workforce planning process to ensure optimal staffing levels and anticipate future talent needs based on production forecasts and business growth.
Build strong relationships with external staffing agencies, universities, and industry groups to maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates.
Lead initiatives to enhance employee retention and reduce turnover.
Employee Relations and Engagement
Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture by promoting our client's core values
Oversee the resolution of employee issues, grievances, and complaints in a fair and consistent manner, ensuring compliance with labor laws and company policies.
Conduct regular employee engagement surveys, analyze results, and develop action plans to improve morale and satisfaction.
Serve as a mediator in disputes between employees and management, ensuring resolution in a way that aligns with company policies and values.
Compensation and Benefits
Lead the development and administration of competitive compensation and benefits programs.
Analyze market trends and recommend adjustments to compensation packages, including base pay, bonuses, and benefits offerings.
Oversee the management of health and wellness programs, retirement plans, and other employee benefits to ensure they meet employee needs while managing costs.
Compliance and Risk Management
Ensure the company is compliant with all federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations, including OSHA, ADA, FMLA, FLSA, and others applicable to the manufacturing industry.
Develop, implement, and communicate HR policies and procedures that align with legal requirements and company standards.
Work with the Safety Manager to ensure all safety protocols are being followed and maintained.
Manage employee record-keeping and reporting systems to ensure confidentiality, accuracy, and compliance.
Performance Management
Provide guidance to managers on performance reviews, feedback processes, and improvement plans.
Qualifications Education
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, PHR) is a plus.
Experience
Minimum of 7-10 years of HR experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role, preferably within a manufacturing setting.
Experience with Predictive Index (PI) Behavioral Assessments.
Experience with Self-Funded Insurance Plans.
Required Skills
Strong knowledge of HR best practices and labor laws relevant to the manufacturing industry.
Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to navigate complex employee relations situations with empathy and diplomacy.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
Familiarity with ADP Workforce Now (HRIS) and Employee Navigator (BP).
Preferred Skills
High degree of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality.
Ability to influence and build strong relationships with employees at all levels of the organization.
Strong analytical skills and data-driven approach to decision making.
A proactive, strategic thinker with the ability to adapt to changing business needs.
