Senior Publishing Manager Weber Shandwick is seeking a Senior Manager, Social Publishing to join our team on a major automotive client.
This person will be the main point of contact and communication center for clients, internal teams and agency partners for all content/asset needs, starting from the early ideation stages to asset strategy, integration across teams and platforms, asset delivery and more.
This is a role where you will be responsible for being part of a diverse and fast-paced set of projects from beginning to end, including hands‑on project management, direct client interactions, ad hoc social media consultation, building strategic recommendations, monitoring & optimizations of strategies, managing junior team members, responsible for routing approvals, working within the broader IAT, and publishing content on social media.
Job Responsibilities
Lead client communications with supervision from manager and reliably represent agency to both internal and external stakeholders
Track status of account activities and take a lead role in proactively sharing updates with clients
Lead status meetings and maintain consistent touchpoints across the broader IAT and client teams
Develop social and digital content strategies, based on the understanding of the client's brand message, voice, objectives and target audiences
Provide creative and strategic input on social and digital projects
Support and brief large and diverse Community Management teams, as they relate to the strategic objectives
Work with Analysts to interpret the results obtained from the different reports of the analytical and monitoring tools for continuous optimization of the account
Monitor trends in social networks to adjust the strategy, content and work based on the latest platforms updates and innovations
Have an eye to detect business opportunities and develop the right solution
Take the lead when needed in front of the clients, and provide a valuable strategic POV
Provide thought leadership on social media vision and best practices for the marketing of today and tomorrow, powered by AI, fueled by cultural context, trends and conversations and think dynamically of the intersection of social listening and content creation
A willingness to jump in on community management, content publishing, brainstorms, trend reports, client meetings, and other related social media activities
Job Qualifications
BA or BS in communications or related field
4-6 years of related social media experience
Passion and enthusiasm for the job to be done — this is a role where you can make a real difference and impact on one of the world’s largest automotive companies
Possess high-level proficiency in social media platforms and inherent curiosity about emerging platforms
Should be willing to experiment with cutting‑edge platforms and techniques and explain the “why this matters” to client at a strategic level
Work well within highly collaborative, multidisciplinary teams – displaying proven ability in running a team, controlling timelines, routing for approvals, anticipating issues and working towards solutions to complex problems
Be able to communicate with client contacts across multiple levels, both at a reporting and strategic counsel level
Ability to think critically about account work, ask questions as needed and effectively solve problems
Have deep working knowledge of the social and digital ecosystem
Be a strong hands‑on, rubber‑meets‑road type that can organize projects and operate multi‑faceted programs
Understand the paid media environment and how it applies to a holistic social media strategy
Have the proven ability to meet deadlines, juggle multiple projects and work independently in a fast‑paced office environment
Have experience working with an analytics team to measure campaign ROI and generate insights that inform future recommendations and decisions
Strong time management skills and attention to detail
Interest in growing knowledge and expertise of the Automotive industry, its new challenges and developments and how that resonates with Consumers
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with clients and internal team members across multiple levels

Salary range $79,000 USD – $95,000 USD. Where an employee or prospective employee is paid within this range will depend on, among other factors, actual ranges for current/former employees in the subject position; market considerations; budgetary considerations; tenure and standing with the company (applicable to current employees); as well as the employee’s/applicant’s background, pertinent experience, and qualifications.
