Company Overview
A leading wealth management firm with a focus on client service and comprehensive financial planning is seeking an Associate for Investor Relations in their Chicago office. The role supports the firm's private equity and real estate fund-of-funds platform, serving as a central resource for the team.
Job Responsibilities
Communicate professionally with investors, custodians, fund administrators, and fund managers verbally and in writing
Distribute investment updates, quarterly investor letters, capital account statements, and marketing materials
Assist in the creation and review of presentations, investment summaries, and fund performance updates
Host and manage investor webinars
Assist with planning and execution of investor events, including the Annual General Meeting
Support the investor process from post-subscription through the full investment lifecycle
Serve as a primary point of contact for private fund matters
Coordinate all aspects of private fund onboarding, including paperwork and compliance
Monitor the electronic subscription platform and assist investors throughout the subscription process
Review subscription agreements for new investments
Manage post-close processes and coordinate returns of capital
Serve as a liaison between investors, the fund, accounting, custodians, and fund administrators
Work with accounting and fund administrators to manage investor allocations and fee arrangements
Organize, maintain, and file all investor- and fund-related documentation
Maintain and enforce marketing policies and procedures
Assist in the management and maintenance of the investor CRM, investor portal, and data room
Input and maintain industry and deal team contacts in the CRM
Follow compliance policies and procedures related to client requests
Coordinate with the Private Funds team on alternative investment subscriptions and redemptions
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required
Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in private equity, real estate, private credit, alternative investments, or fund administration
General accounting knowledge and familiarity with private equity valuation fundamentals
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially PowerPoint and Excel) and Adobe; Salesforce CRM experience preferred
Compensation Salary: $80,000 – $90,000, Plus Bonus
