Senior Manager of Sales Operations

Northern Contours, Fergus Falls, MN, United States

Headquartered in Mendota Heights, MN, Northern Contours is a leading manufacturer of cabinet components serving Kitchen & Bath, Office, Healthcare, and commercial markets. We operate brands including Renuit and Front+Center, delivering high-quality solutions to business partners and end users.

As Senior Manager of Sales Operations, you’ll unify our Customer Experience (CCR) and Inside Sales teams into one high-performing department — building the connective tissue linking Sales Reps and customers to everything inside this building, from order entry to production to finance. A leadership role with real scope, visibility, and impact on how Northern Contours operates and grows.

What You’ll Own

Your Team

You’ll lead a department of 10+ people across two practice areas. Your job is to bring them together under a shared mission, give them clarity, and build a culture where accountability and customer-first execution are the standard, not the aspiration.

The Customer and Rep Experience

You’re the quality owner. When a customer situation gets complicated – a disputed price, a tricky remake, an onboarding that’s lost its footing –your team knows who to call. You’ll also own the onboarding experience for new customers and franchise partners, and champion performance across LiveChat, email, and phone channels.

Commercial Operations

Order entry accuracy, remake investigations, sample order workflows, pricing consistency –this is your domain. You’ll also develop tiered onboarding programs for B2C Pro customers, from individual contractors to multi-location companies.

Cross-Functional Influence

You’ll work directly with the VP of Sales, Chief Operating Officer, Chief Business Officer, and Finance. You don’t just execute. You surface patterns, flag friction, and push for solutions. You’re the voice of the customer and the rep inside the building.

Systems and Process

You’ll define SOPs, build performance dashboards, and lead process improvement initiatives that reduce cost, increase speed, and improve quality across the order lifecycle.

What We’re Looking For Required

Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field, or equivalent experience

7+ years of progressive experience in sales operations, customer operations, or inside sales leadership

Proven ability to lead and develop teams of 8 or more

Strong cross‑functional communication skills — you know how to influence without direct authority

Hands‑on experience with CRM platforms, order management systems, and SOP development

Preferred

Background in manufacturing, building products, or distribution

Experience with process improvement methodologies

Familiarity with ERP systems and sales analytics tools

Experience supporting or working alongside independent sales rep networks

Comfort using AI tools to improve workflows, reporting, and productivity

A Note on Leadership Style This role requires someone who leads from the floor, not from a distance. The team you’re inheriting is capable and committed. What they need is a leader who gives them clarity, advocates for them organizationally, and holds a high bar for what excellent looks like.

If that’s how you lead, we want to talk.

Compensation

Salaried/Exempt starting base at $90,000 annually, with opportunities for growth based on experience and performance. Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications and experience.
