DESCRIPTION Visual Sound is seeking a highly experienced and strategic leader to serve as the company's

Director of Technical Operations . This role involves overseeing the day-to-day operations to ensure a seamless workflow, drive operational excellence, and align technical initiatives with business objectives.

The Director of Technical Operations should possess strong management skills, a tactical mindset, and the ability to balance strategic oversight with hands‑on operational leadership. This role also requires the capacity to streamline processes and manage teams successfully to ensure efficient processes and sustainable growth.

While a technical background (preferably in A/V) is required, this person must also be proficient in supervising others, procedures, budgeting, and putting proposals together.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead and develop high‑performing teams, drive accountability, and foster collaboration across departments.

Setting and executing operational strategies, scaling operations, and using KPIs for data‑driven decision‑making.

Workflow improvements, cost reduction, and ensuring smooth day‑to‑day operations.

P&L management, budgeting, cost control, and financial forecasting.

Implementing new systems, restructuring teams, and improving company‑wide efficiencies.

Performance reporting and analysis of ongoing operations.

Familiarity with a similar operational environment is a plus.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required

A minimum of 5–7 years of experience in operations management

Strong background in leadership roles and managing vendor relationships

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Proficient in problem‑solving, developing, and executing strategic plans

Ability to collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment with company objectives
