Deputy Infrastructure Director
The Deputy Infrastructure Director serves as the second‑in‑command to the Infrastructure Director and plays a critical leadership role in managing IT service delivery across 13 state‑operated healthcare facilities. This position directly oversees the Help desk and Desktop Support managers, ensuring high‑quality end‑user support, incident resolution, and endpoint readiness, including EHR‑related systems such as Epic. The Deputy Infrastructure Director contributes to strategic planning, operational oversight, team development, and IT service performance monitoring, supporting the continuity and efficiency of patient care and administrative services.
Responsibilities
Manage IT service delivery across 13 state‑operated healthcare facilities.
Directly oversee the Help desk and Desktop Support managers.
Ensure high‑quality end‑user support, incident resolution, and endpoint readiness.
Contribute to strategic planning, operational oversight, team development, and IT service performance monitoring.
Qualifications Minimum Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or an IT related field from an accredited institution and 4 years of progressive experience in telecommunications network management, analysis, or design.
Associate degree in computer science or an IT related field from an accredited institution and 5 years of progressive experience.
High School or GED and 8 years of progressive experience.
Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Skills and Abilities
Thorough knowledge of the capabilities and limitations of a wide range of equipment, software, and services necessary to administer the information processing needs.
Thorough knowledge of the management techniques involved in resource allocation and personnel management.
Ability to plan for the IT needs of the department.
Ability to establish, consult, advise, and maintain effective working relationships with vendors, clients, top‑level management of the department, and the public.
Physical Requirements Full‑time role requiring primarily sedentary work. May occasionally require lifting up to 10 pounds.
