Overview
Saint Xavier University is seeking adjunct faculty members to teach
Political Science
in a multicultural environment. Faculty are dedicated to high‑quality teaching for a diverse student population and strive to facilitate student success and meet individual educational needs.
The successful candidate will be committed to teaching in a variety of settings—including in‑person, online, hybrid, and blended formats—with a preference toward in‑person instruction. Adjuncts may be scheduled for day, evening, or weekend classes as needed and can teach up to two sections of undergraduate courses per semester. Adjuncts are paid by stipend on a bi‑weekly basis beginning on the first payroll following the course add/drop date.
Responsibilities Adjunct Faculty instructors are responsible for:
Course planning and instruction in classroom, lab, and/or clinical settings.
Delivering courses in various delivery modes, with a preference for in‑person instruction.
Conducting student evaluation and providing timely, accurate submission of required paperwork related to instruction.
Communicating with the department and maintaining professional relationships with students and colleagues.
Qualifications
JD or MA in Political Science or a closely related field.
Experience teaching Legal Thinking courses that prepare pre‑law students to take the LSAT.
Experience teaching LSAT prep courses is preferred.
