Role Summary The B2B Fulfillment Lead manages Full‑Truckload (FTL, LTL, Small Parcel, Inbound, International) shipping activities by ensuring orders are accurately picked, palletized, and loaded onto trucks per carrier specifications. The role includes preparing orders ahead of time, coordinating load plans, and maintaining documentation integrity. The Team Lead trains and directs the warehouse team to execute the specific workstream process safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities Pre‑Shift Coordination

Ensure all workstream orders required for the following day are allocated and built by the 2nd shift crew.

Confirm that priority shipments are ready for handoff so the FTL team can begin operations immediately when their shift starts.

Maintain visibility of next‑day orders and coordinate labor accordingly to support overnight build goals.

Workstream Order Execution

Allocate workstream orders and assign tasks for picking and building.

Coordinate pallet staging with clear organization by customer and destination.

Oversee RF‑based picking and ensure transaction traceability.

Ensure all operators are trained and ready for Pick‑to‑Load‑Out execution, focusing on full truckload preparation and accurate staging.

Workstream Operational Flow Ensure all steps in the process flow are performed, including proper order allocation and verification of load plans (LP) for each pallet prior to picking. Oversee the pick‑to‑load‑out process, ensuring efficient and accurate pallet building, loadout to trucks, and proper attachment of Bills of Lading (BOLs) to corresponding orders. Confirm final transactions are completed in the system to close orders accurately and on time.

Team Leadership & Training

Coach team members on FTL, LTL, Small Parcel and International shipment processes, load integrity, and SOP compliance.

Provide feedback on build quality and accuracy.

Ensure the team adheres to safety and housekeeping standards in loading areas.

Cross‑Department Coordination

Act as liaison between warehouse and office teams regarding shipment documentation.

Communicate shift updates, issues, and improvements to leadership.

Qualifications

2+ years in freight operations, with at least 1 year of team leadership.

Experience in FTL, LTL and Small Parcel load planning, documentation handling, and RF‑based picking.

Familiarity with Extensiv or similar WMS preferred.

Strong organizational and communication skills.
